I Should Read That

Hi everyone, and happy Sunday!  Today’s post is coming a little late because I’ve hauled myself to the last day of YALC, back to my parent’s place, onto the train, and am finally back home!  This wI’ll be a super YALC-heavy post, but not a full round up. I’ll post that once I’ve recovered. Onward!

I’m loving The Expanse, but have only read the first two! #3 is sitting patiently on my shelf.

YALC prep!  I couldn’t decide what to take, I had a lot of options and didn’t know how easy it was to approach authors for signings. I ended up only taking the V. E. Schwab books — which are now personalised and signed!  I’m so glad I got to meet her.

I temporarily traded the cats for dogs when I went to stay with my family in London. Nora was feeling the tension in A Conjuring of Light. 

Probably the most beautiful book I got at YALC and a contender for most beautiful book of the year!  The Loneliest Girl in the Universe is absolutely gorgeous inside and out.

Day 1 swag!  Mum laughed at me and then helped me lay it all out. I was a little over enthusiastic and should have paced myself, but I regret nothing. 

Day 2 swag!  I was better this day and had so much more fun without my huge backpack weighing me down!  

I discovered Mum’s amazing bookmark collection and had to share it with you guys. She has been collecting for years, but I never saw them all together!  Now you guys know where I get it from.

The full YALC swag pile. I was worried I couldn’t get it all home, but I did!  One suitcase, one large backpack, and one duffel bag did the trick.

I was trying to take round up photos, but Dax wanted to play. She’s about to tackle Sophia and knock everything over. The cats are jerks, but I missed them!
