The weekend is nearly finished, and I am in denial. Where did the time go? I can’t believe it’s almost Monday! While I hide under a blanket, here’s a round up of this week’s Instagram posts.
Poor Dax was completely confused by the level of activity in the flat over this past week. There were humans filming videos, taking photos, and complaining about not reading enough books. She needs her rest!
I was so incredibly thrilled to receive a proof of The Girl in the Tower this week! As some of you may remember, The Bear and the Nightingale was one of my favorite books this year. I’m a little suspicious of the sequel because I really loved the ending of the first book so much, but I’m looking forward to diving back into this world.
Book club!! My wonderful fantasy book club met up last night to discuss the Shades of Magic series. We read A Darker Shade of Magic in our first meetup and a few of us decided to finish off the trilogy. We are all of the same mind about these books — they’re okay and fun but not nearly as incredible as the internet makes them out to be — and we had some really great discussions about characters and plot.
I filmed a video on DNFing books earlier today, and Sophia was my guest star. She looks like she’s being held prisoner and is blinking SOS at the camera. Someone please save her from her overenthusiastic human!! If you want to watch this video, you can find it here.
