Happy Friday, all! I am not entirely sure where the first half of September went — it sort of swirled into a black hole and it’s suddenly the middle of the month. How does that even happen?
This has honestly been a really bad month for reading for me! I didn’t finish a single book this month until yesterday. I can’t tell if it’s a slump (and a poorly timed one at that, September is a huge release month!) or if I’ve just not been picking great books for my mood. Fingers crossed next week is better.
Books I read

The Death of Mrs Westaway by Ruth Ware
This is the first book I’ve managed to finish this month. The first book! I can’t believe how terrible this reading month is for me so far. On the bright side, I really enjoyed this thriller and can’t wait to read more of her books, although I have heard that this is definitely her best so far.
Books I am currently reading
Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff
The Crossroads of Twilight by Robert Jordan
I’m currently working on two books. Darkdawn is my audiobook and while I’m loving it, I haven’t been listening much lately — I’m going to go ahead and listen loads this weekend. I’ve also decided to deviate from the ARCs and new releases for a bit and read The Crossroads of Twilight, the tenth book in the Wheel of Time series. I’ve been stuck on this book for absolute ages and want to just get through it! We’ll see if my third attempt actually works out.
Books I bought
None!! WOOOO!
Books post

Nottingham by Nathan Makaryk
I received a finished copy of this book, and it looks great! I hadn’t heard of it before, but I love retellings, particularly non-fairy tale ones. I can’t wait to dig in.
