Happy Friday, all! Yet again, we are in a time slip. I can’t believe September is nearly over! This month’s reading is still going pretty poorly, however I have made some progress. Check it out!
Books I read

Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff
I brought my September reading total to a whopping two books when I completed Darkdawn earlier today! I have a lot of thoughts on this one and I’m still processing. It’s easily my least favourite of the trilogy and I really hated the ending, but there are still so many things that I loved about this book. Will need some time to ponder before I read and review.
Books I am currently reading
A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie
The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware
Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir
The Beautiful by Renee Adhieh
The Crossroads of Twilight by Robert Jordan
I’ve been struggling with starting new books and not finishing them, but I’m making some good progress now! A Little Hatred is my main read at the moment and I’ll concentrate on The Turn of the Key afterwards. I have plenty of time to (hopefully) get reinvested in The Beautiful, which I’m not loving, before its publication date, and Crossroads will take me forever so I’m reading at my leisure.
Books I bought

A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie
My preorder for A Little Hatred came in this week — woo hoo! I’m absolutely loving the return to the First Law world!
Book post

Angel Mage by Garth Nix
I discovered Sabriel earlier this year and absolutely adored it! When I had the chance to be on the upcoming blog tour for his newest book, Angel Mage, I snatched it right up. Look out for my review in mid-October!
That’s it for this week! Tonight, we celebrate Dax’s four-year adoptiversary (we haven’t had a good night’s sleep since we got her).
