There’s nothing better than an exceptionally cosy and atmospheric novel, and The Way Past Winter is exactly that. I absolutely loved Hargraves’ debut novel, The Girl of Ink and Stars, and was so looking forward to reading another middle grade adventure from her, and The Way Past Winter did not disappoint. Review: The Girl of Ink and Stars
I wandered past and stared at this book at Hatchards about four times before finally buying it. Recent winner of the Waterstones Children’s Prize for 2017, The Girl of Ink and Stars is an incredible read. I didn’t know much about it going in — except that it’s a gorgeous book inside and out.
