The Questions

The Loneliest Girl in the Universe by Lauren James
I wont say much about this book, but everything about it was so incredibly fresh – I don’t think I’ve read anything quite like it. The Loneliest Girl is one of my favourite books of the year! Even Scottish Fiance read and loved it.

Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody
Amanda Foody’s debut novel Daughter of the Burning City was so high on my list of anticipated reads. I ended up really loving it – I loved everything from the story to the characters to her amazing writing. The way she really makes your senses come alive in the Festival is amazing!

Blackwing by Ed McDonald
Blackwing is just so much damn fun. It’s non-stop grimdark action, and the story pulls you in and doesn’t let you go. Ed McDonald is an author to watch!

Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo
Ahhh! I have this sitting on my nightstand but I haven’t had a chance to pick it up yet! I first heard about this book back when I first started this blog, and I knew I had to have it. Then I read Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom and needed it! I’m hoping to read this in October and I cannot wait!

The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
The answer to this will always be Becky Chambers’ The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet. This book gives so many warm fuzzies. I never realised that ‘cosy sci-fi’ could be a thing, but now I need more! If anything, the next book is even better, which is saying a lot.

A Gathering of Shadows by V. E. Schwab
I like these books well enough, but I’m not a huge fan. However, I think the covers are fantastic!
Tagging:
I’ve tagged a few of my favourite bloggers. Of course, don’t feel pressured to take part if you don’t usually do tags (I usually don’t do tags anymore!). If anyone else would like to participate, link me your post in the comments! I’d love to take a look.
Have you done the Fall Book Tag? What are your most anticipated reads of the season? Let’s chat!
