Book Box Club – The Clubhouse and a Q&A with Zoe Marriott

Copy of Copy of Copy of Monthly Wrap Up New

You may remember me talking about my unboxing experience with the Book Box Club a couple weeks ago. I’m back to talk about the coolest features of this subscription — the Clubhouse!

When you receive a book subscription box, that’s usually it. However Book Box Club has an exclusive online community experienced tied into your subscription. When you receive your monthly box or Purely Books parcel, you also receive an invitation to the Clubhouse. This is an exclusive area of their website where you can talk about the book with other subscribers and participate in a Q&A session with the author of that month’s book!

The most recent Clubhouse meeting featured Zoe Marriott, author of April’s featured book The Hand, the Eye, and the Heart. This meeting took place on the 5th of June, allowing for enough time for us to read the book in advance of the meeting. Members can come to the meeting armed with their questions for the author and participate in a big group chat!

I was super excited for this session, but I actually missed this month’s meeting because of my birthday. However, the chat log was still available to me well after the event took place. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated this! I am notoriously bad for missing Twitter chats, which are so hard to catch up on afterward and it’s easy to feel excluded if you can’t devote 100% of your attention to the chat. In the Clubhouse, however, I not only got to easily read through the chat, there’s such an amazing sense of community there. It has that amazingly cozy feel of being at a book club with your best friends.

Overall, my experience with Book Box Club has been awesome and I couldn’t recommend them more highly if you’re looking for a reasonably priced, high quality book subscription box. They’re ahead of the subscription box game in offering mulitple subscription options, which really helps if you’re working with a budget or just don’t want to be weighed down with bookish items. I’m really looking forward to exploring future boxes and raiding their online shop for past boxes and items.

  1. That’s such an excellent feature! Especially that you can go back through the chat logs if you miss it, makes it a lot more inclusive.
